Box Score NAPERVILLE, Ill. – In their first action in ten days, the MSOE men's volleyball team took on their second ranked team of the season. Unfortunately, it would be in a losing effort as they fell in a sweep to the North Central Cardinals.

MSOE RAIDERS – 0 (19, 20, 21)
No. 12 North Central – 3 (25, 25, 25)
HOW IT HAPPENED
- MSOE (1-2) had a slow start in the first set having a hitting percentage of just .108 with 10 kills. The sides went back-and-forth to start the set, before North Central (4-2) made a small run to take a 16-10 lead midway through. The Raiders put on a 5-1 run of their own to get within two, but a Cardinals timeout allowed them to collect themselves and stake claim to a 25-19 first set win.
- The Raiders found a way to keep the Cardinals in reach throughout the second set to stay within two but could never find a rhythm to jump ahead. Having a 18-16 lead, the Cardinals rattled off four straight points to lead 22-16. The Red & White made a 3-0 run of their own to try and make a comeback, but the Cardinals finished it off to win 25-20.
- The Cardinals kept their momentum going to start the third set leading 10-6. Carter Schavitz had two attacks with an error from the Cardinals to get within one of NCC as the sides would begin to trade serves. Late in the set, the Cardinals took three straight points to find momentum late to finish off the sweep, 25-21.

- The Raiders won the service aces battle 4-2 over the Cardinals.
