Box Score AURORA, Ill. – Holding their own against the top ranked school in the country, MSOE men's volleyball fell 3-1 in a neutral site match up with No. 1 Stevens on Saturday afternoon.

MSOE RAIDERS – 1 (23, 21, 28, 22)
No. 1 Stevens – 3 (25, 25, 26, 25)
HOW IT HAPPENED
- While this might be the toughest opponent they'll have all season, MSOE (3-5, 1-0 NACC) held their own throughout the match, never letting No. 1 Stevens (13-2) grow a commanding lead. As the Ducks neared the end of the first set leading 23-19, the Raiders rattled off a 3-0 run to get within one to almost take it. Unfortunately, the comeback fell short and Stevens took the game 25-23. A similar situation happened again in the second set as the Ducks led 23-15, but the Red & White made a 6-0 run to get within two. Again though, they couldn't finish things off, falling 25-21.
- The Raiders had the hot hand to start the third set as Carter Shavitz and James Zippay helped them run out to a 9-4 lead. The Ducks battled back to regain the lead, but the Raiders did not give up the momentum and found a way to take the third set 28-26.
- The sides began to go back-and-forth again throughout the entire final set, as neither side grew a lead larger than three. It wasn't until late that errors from the Raiders came back to bite them and the Ducks finished off the fourth set 25-22 to take the match.
RAIDER REMARKS
- The Raiders led the match with service aces 10-8 and Aidan Charapata led both sides with six of his own.
- Nick Stachura totaled 91 assists during both matches this week with his 43-assist performance today.
