Box Score MILWAUKEE – For the first time in the Kern Center this season, the MSOE men's volleyball team began NACC play victorious with a 3-1 victory over Illinois Tech Wednesday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- MSOE (3-4, 1-0 NACC) held a short lead through the beginning part of the first set. Two separate 4-0 runs in the second half allowed the Raiders to completely run away with the set 25-14.
- Illinois Tech (3-5, 0-1 NACC) calmed down to start the second set, not allowing the Raiders to pull away at all. Forcing to go past the 25-point mark, the Raiders regained their momentum from the first set to finally take the second 30-28.
- The Scarlet Knights kept their fight throughout the third set as well. A 7-0 run brought the momentum over to their side to take the set 25-19 to avoid the sweep.
- The Raiders' defense locked things down for the fourth set as the Scarlett Knights had a hitting percentage of just .077, allowing the Red & White run away 25-19 to take the match.
RAIDER REMARKS
- Carter Shavitz and Nick Stachura each had season highs in kills and assists, with Shavitz tallying 20 with Stachura recording 49.
- The Raiders best hitting percentage in the game was when it mattered most in the fourth set, hitting .348.

WHO'S ON DECK
