WAUKESHA, Wis. – Kicking off their outdoor season, the MSOE track & field teams had four event wins and many top finishes against many Wisconsin private colleges, leading to a victory on the men's side and fourth place finish for the women.

MEN'S TEAM RECAP
- The Raiders got the day started on the track with a 1-2-3 finish in the 10,000-meter run, led by Xander Gottner in 32:33.68. Kolby Dax was right behind in him second running 33:34.55 and Noah Reynolds came in third running 33:24.18. Another 1-2-3 finish came in the 3,000-meter steeplechase as Colby Branch (9:51.50) led the charge, followed by Cody Zenyuh (10:10.33) and Tyler Ott (10:12.59). The last champion for the Raiders came from Isaac Hunter in the 100-meter dash after running 10.83 in the final, as Evan Ploeckelman came in fourth running 11.00. Hunter also picked up a second-place finish in the 200-meter dash, clocking a time of 22.58.
- Other top performers in the running include the 4x100 meter relay of Hunter, Hunter Thelen, Aidan Ramstack and Plockelman finishing second (43.13), Adam Shaw in the 1,500-meter run (4:04.93), Daniel Burant in the 400-meter dash (51.52), Collin Hook in the 110-meter hurdles (15.90) and 400-meter hurdles (59.70), and the 4x400-meter relay of Burant, Nate Bong, Shaw and Thelen (3:32.68).
- In the field events, Steve Maye picked up a massive personal best in the high jump with a height of 1.91m to take third overall and Kyle Conrad surpassed the 13-meter mark going 13.01m to take second in the triple jump. Gavin Fritsch rewrote the school record books as he took second overall in a very competitive field of discus throwers with a toss of 45.59m and broke the shot put record with a toss of 14.49m.
WOMEN'S TEAM RECAP
- Kaitlyn Rodman was the lone event winner on Sunday taking the 1,500-meter run with a time of 5:00.58. In her debut in the steeplechase, Sabryn Bley ran 12:16.51 to finish in second place. Other second place finishes in the running events came from Molly Stewart in the 10,000-meter run (41:56.67) and Mackenzie Bollis in the 400-meter hurdles (1:11.06).
- In the field, Grace Menzia had the best finish with a vault of 3.30m in the pole vault for a second-place finish. In the jumps, Gillian Spuhler had a personal best in the high jump (1.45m) for fourth place, while also finishing third in the triple jump (10.70m). In the throws, two Raiders scored in the shot put with Katrina Wawrzyn (13.25m) and Josephine Jacklin (12.71m) finishing second and fourth among collegiates, respectively, and Elizabeth Mikkelson taking third overall in the hammer with a toss of 46.61m. All of those throws were better than the previous school records in the event.
WHAT'S NEXT
The Raiders will head to University of Wisconsin-Whitewater on Friday, April 7
th to take part in the Rex Foster Twilight. Field events begin at 12 PM, with running events beginning at 1 PM.
