ROCK ISLAND, Ill. – In their final chance to qualify for the big dance, the MSOE track & field teams traveled down to Quad Cities to one of the best last chance meets and were rewarded with three school records taken down, including an improvement on a national qualifying mark.

MEN'S TEAM RECAP
- Continuing to climb the national ranks, Gavin Fritsch continues to improve his school record mark in the discus, tossing 53.02 meters to finish seventh overall. Fritsch now moves into the top 10 nationally sitting ninth nationally, clearing his way to national meet next weekend.
- Freshman Patrick Lee also added his name to the school record books Thursday evening, finishing 11th overall in the 5,000-meter run, clocking a time of 15:09.54, taking five seconds off the school record set two weeks ago. Lee who was atop of the conference in the fall on the cross-country course claims one of the top program honors on the track to end his freshman campaign.
WOMEN'S TEAM RECAP
- Kaitlyn Rodman who set two school records during the indoor season claims her first outdoor record of her career in the 5,000-meter run. The junior ran 18:09.35 to finish eighth overall and is the first Raider to run under 18:10 outdoors.
- Molly Stewart added one of the few season-bests Thursday evening finishing right behind Rodman, running 18:45.28 for the third best time in program history. Elizabeth Mikkelson also picked up the other season best in the discus with a toss of 42.79 meters to finish 11th overall.

The official list of National Qualifiers will be released tomorrow morning, May 19
th for next week's Outdoor National Championships.
