MILWAUKEE – For the first time in program history, the MSOE men's swimming & diving program has their first event ranked in the top 25 for Division III.
The 800-yard freestyle relay of
Caleb Brewer,
Tyler VanGompel,
Isaac Urban, and
Theo Thomas clocked a time of 6:53.78 to win the Carthage Classic last month. Their time currently ranks 22
nd nationally, including being the top time among Wisconsin schools.
Brewer has been a standout for the Raiders program just in his second season for the Raiders, leading them in the butterfly events and other relays. In their short time already with the Red & White, VanGompel, Urban, and Thomas have dominated events, including at the Carthage Classic as the three combined for five events wins.
The Raiders will be back in pool next weekend as they'll face Wisconsin-Milwaukee, kicking off on Friday at 5:00 p.m. and then on Saturday at 10:00 a.m.
