MILWAUKEE – MaryFrancis Williams has been named one of the NCHA's Three Stars of the Week for games played February 12
th-14
th.
Williams provided the veteran leadership and scoring punch necessary for the Raiders to secure a vital sweep over Lake Forest. The Stillwater, Minn., native finished the weekend with five points (3G, 2A). Williams was the offensive catalyst in Friday's overtime thriller, netting a natural hat trick — the first in MSOE women's hockey history — to erase a multi-goal deficit. She followed that up on Saturday by recording assists on both of MSOE's goals in a 2-1 victory, directly contributing to five of the Raiders' seven goals on the weekend.
Williams and the Raiders are back in action this weekend for the opening round of the NCHA Slaats Cup Playoffs, as they head to De Pere for a weekend series with the St. Norbert Green Knights. Game one is set for Friday, February 20
th at 7:00 P.M.
