MILWAUKEE – Senior Logan Andryk converted a penalty kick in the 60th minute to tie the NACC record for career goals and send the MSOE men's soccer team to a 2-1 victory over Benedictine Saturday afternoon at Viets Field.

The Raiders (10-4, 5-2 NACC) struck first through sophomore Braden Andryk, but needed the elder Andryk's goal to down the Eagles (6-9, 3-4 NACC).

Logan Andryk now has 51 goals for his career, tying him with Dominican's Matt Kochanowski (2006-08) as the conference's all-time leading goal-scorer. Andryk surpassed Kochanowski's points record of 142 earlier this season and now has 156 points for his career.

In the 16th minute, Braden Andryk tallied his league-leading 15th goal of the season through assists from junior Trevor Cwiok and sophomore Gregory Borsari to put MSOE up 1-0.

Just under 10 minutes later, Gio Ovalle equalized for Benedictine and the game went into halftime tied at 1-1.

The Raiders benefited from a BenU foul in the box 15 minutes after the break, setting up Logan Andryk's fifth penalty kick goal of the season. He converted for his 11th goal of the year.

The home side was not without additional chances to put the game away, as Borsari had a shot cleared off the line by a defender just seconds after the go-ahead score and Logan Andryk hit the post with a shot in the 81st minute.

MSOE held a 14-10 shot advantage in the match, with each team putting six attempts on goal. Junior Sean Stelter made five saves on the day to secure the victory.

The Raiders close out their home schedule Wednesday, hosting Lakeland.
