Box Score ROCKFORD, Ill. – Five different players scored goals as the MSOE men's soccer team coasted to a 5-0 victory over Rockford Saturday afternoon.
The Raiders (9-2, 4-0 NACC) outshot the Regents (2-8, 0-4 NACC) 27-4 in the match, including a 15-1 advantage on shots on goal.
Sophomore Braden Andryk scored a goal in a fifth-straight match, tallying his league-best 14th goal of the season and adding two assists in the match for a league-best 31 points. Meanwhile, senior Logan Andryk tallied a goal and assist to reach 50 goals and 50 assists for his career, just the third NCAA Division III player ever to reach the milestone.
Juniors Trevor Cwiok, Andrew Swiecichowski and sophomore Sean Tabbert also found the back of the net for each of their first goals of the season.
Braden Andryk netted the game-winner in just the eighth minute. Swiecichowski then cleaned up a rebound just over six minutes later to send MSOE into halftime with a 2-0 lead.
Cwiok got the second-half scoring started with a header off a Logan Andryk corner kick in the 54th minute. Seven minutes later, Braden Andryk found Tabbert for a five-yard shot. Braden then set up Logan in the 80th minute to make it 5-0.
Junior Sean Stelter got the start in goal and saved the only shot that came his way in just under 77 minutes of action. Freshman Nate Wedel preserved the shutout with 13:33 of scoreless play in goal.
The Andryks each have 31 points this season, with Logan tallying 10 goals and 11 assists so far.
The Raiders look to continue their winning ways Wednesday, when they welcome Aurora to Viets Field.
