Box Score KENOSHA, Wis. – The MSOE lacrosse team was shutout at Carthage 15-0 Wednesday evening at Art Keller Field.
The Raiders (3-6) could not get going on offense against the Red Men (10-0) in falling to their former conference rival.
Carthage came out of the gates offensive, striking for four goals in the first quarter and adding six more in the second to take a 10-0 lead into halftime. There was little doubt remaining in the result during the second half, as the Red Men added three goals in the third quarter and two more in the final frame.
MSOE was outshot 50-10 and was successful on just 10-of-21 clear attempts.
Freshmen Pat Collins and Sam Kopecky split the game in goal. Collins made five saves in the first half and Kopecky stopped 10 shots after intermission.
The Raiders return to the field Saturday at Mount St. Joseph.
