MILWAUKEE - Freshman Thomas Reid scored a pair of goals for the MSOE lacrosse team as it fell to Concordia Wisconsin 14-5 Wednesday evening at Viets Field.

The Raiders (4-7, 1-3 MLC) scored just once in the first half in trailing the Falcons (6-5, 2-1 MLC) 9-1 at halftime, but tallied two goals in each of the final two quarters.

Seniors Michael Caelwaerts and Zachary Dawiec, as well as freshman Clay Gustafson also scored goals.

Colin Raley tallied six goals to lead CUW. Matt Garvey had three goals and added three assists for the visitors, as well.

Concordia scored the first three goals of the game before Dawiec got the Raiders on the board with 6:34 remaining in the opening quarter. From that point on, it was all Falcons until halftime. They scored the final two goals of the first quarter and outscored the Red & White 4-0 in the second quarter to take a 9-1 lead into halftime.

Caelwaerts opened the second half scoring just over two minutes into the second half, but CUW scored the next three goals to open up a 12-2 lead late in the third quarter. Reid then scored his first goal with 1:06 to play in the frame.

The visitors struck first in the final quarter, but Gustafson scored an up goals and Reid followed suit 40 seconds apart for the Raiders to make it 13-5. CUW capped the game's scoring with one more goal inside the final two minutes.

Freshmen Pat Collins and Sam Kopecky split halves in goal, each making six saves. Senior Maxwell Wasscher caused five turnovers in the game and shared the team-high with four ground balls.

The Raiders return to the field Saturday at Dubuque.
