The Raiders (5-6, 1-4 MLC) fell behind 6-1 and never really recovered, but put together their best-ever performance against the Spartans (13-2, 5-0 MLC), who are the defending conference champions.

Trevor McNamara led Aurora with four goals and two assists, while Jason Koziol had two goal and three assists.
The Spartans scored twice in the first minute of the game, but Gustafson struck back just 70 seconds later to make it 2-1. The home team then scored four-straight goals and, after a Winsor man-up goal, went on another five-goal run to take an 11-2 lead.
Kennedy pulled a goal back at 10:19 of the third quarter. The Raiders could pull not closer in the frame before closing out the game with three more goals unanswered in the fourth quarter. Carney and Reid scored just 17 seconds apart in the early stages of the period.
Collins stopped a career-high 19 shots in the game and led the team with five ground balls.
The Spartans held a 40-32 advantage in shots in the game. Turnovers were 20-13 in favor of the home team, as was a slight 33-32 edge in ground balls.
MSOE had been outscored 135-13 in five previous meetings with Aurora, including a 22-5 loss last season. The 11-6 scoreline represents a step up for the Raiders, who have won 13 games over the last two seasons after just four wins in the first five campaigns in program history.
The Red & White close out the season next Saturday at Benedictine.
