Box Score WAUKESHA, Wisconsin – The MSOE men's soccer team dropped a 3-0 decision to Carroll Wednesday evening at Schneider Stadium.
The Raiders (3-3) saw their three-game winning streak at the hands of the Pioneers (3-3).
Sophomore Riley Bruce kept MSOE in the game early with several big saves, but the home side was able to break through via a penalty kick in the 15th minute to carry a 1-0 lead into halftime.
Carroll was able to add an insurance goal just five minutes after halftime before the Raiders posed their biggest threat in the 78th minute. Junior Braden Andryk saw his penalty kick saved by CU keeper Nick Drew, then Andryk saw his rebound attempt also stopped by Drew.
The Pioneers completed the victory with an insurance goal in the 90th minute.
Bruce got the start in goal, but played just 24:10 and made four saves. Sophomore Ryan Snyder played the remainder of the game. Drew finished with eight saves for the shutout.
Andryk led the Raiders with five shots, all on goal, as they held an 11-10 shot advantage.
MSOE returns to the field Saturday at Dubuque.
