Box Score MEQUON, Wisconsin – Concordia Wisconsin scored three unanswered goals in the second half to hand the MSOE men's soccer team a 4-1 defeat Saturday afternoon at Fitting Field.
The Raiders (4-5, 1-1 NACC) had fallen behind on an early own goal, but tied the score just before tying the Falcons (7-1, 1-1 NACC) just seconds before halftime.
MSOE's own goal came in just the 12th minute and gifted the home side a 1-0 lead. Fortunately, the Red & White got that goal back just 13 seconds before halftime. Junior Braden Andryk scored his ninth goal of the season on a penalty kick to even the teams heading into the intermission.
CUW struck for the eventual game-winner in the 55th minute on the first of two Dagoberto Diaz goals. His second capped the scoring in the 80th minute as the Falcons scored two insurance goals just under two minutes apart.
Shots were 22-7 in favor of Concordia, including an 11-3 edge on shots on goal. Sophomore Ryan Snyder started in goal for the second-straight match and made seven saves for MSOE.
Andryk's goal gave him 99 career points (41 goals, 17 assists) as he closes in on becoming the program's third 100-point scorer.
The Raiders will look to get back on the winning track on Wednesday at Marian.
