MILWAUKEE - The No. 15 MSOE men's volleyball team hit .370 in posting a decisive three-set sweep of Nazareth 25-18, 25-21, 25-19, Friday evening at the Kern Center.

The Raiders (11-5) hit .394 in the first set and .467 in the second on its way to victory over the Golden Flyers (16-8).

Sophomore Jake Christensen and senior Sam Stealey tallied a match-best 12 kills each while hitting over .400 at .421 and .409, respectively. Sophomore Danny Martens picked up 15 digs in just three sets.

Antonio Sargent led Nazareth with seven kills.

MSOE was especially efficient on the attack, picking up 17 kills in each of the first two sets and finishing with a season-high 48 in a three-set match. Senior Andrew Miller had 35 assists and Martens picked up a career-best seven.

The Raiders utilized decisive runs in each of the sets to take control and then close out the respective games. In the opening set, the Red & White reversed a 9-7 deficit with a 15-4 run to open a 22-13 lead. Then, in the second, an 11-4 stretch turned an 8-7 deficit into an 18-12 lead.

The Golden Flyers scored three of the first four points of the third game but a 14-4 run quickly made it 15-7. The visitors responded with back-to-back points but MSOE countered with a 5-1 run to put the set away.

Nazareth hit .184 on the night with 29 kills.

The Raiders return to the court Wednesday night at Lakeland.
