Box Score MILWAUKEE – After having their game postponed on Saturday afternoon, MSOE men's soccer was back in action and looking for their fourth win in a row. The Red & White were able to tie the game late against Concordia Wisconsin but neither team could seal the deal in a double overtime draw.
RESULT IN DOUBLE OVERTIME
Concordia Wisconsin – 1
MSOE RAIDERS – 1
HOW IT HAPPENED
- MSOE (6-3-2, 4-0-1 NACC) had a tough time getting started on Wednesday night and finished the first half of the game without a shot on goal.
- Meanwhile, Concordia Wisconsin (5-5-1, 3-3-1 NACC) was able to send a few towards the net, including the game opening tally in the 12th minute.
- The Raiders came out and played a more aggressive second half and had plenty of chances to tie the contest with 12 total shots taken.
- MSOE would finally break through when Konrad Knap's corner kick was knocked in by Alexander Vujovic with less than ten minutes remaining in regulation.
- Unfortunately, the Raiders couldn't find the golden goal in either of the overtime periods. Thankfully CUW's attempts were fruitless as well as the teams played to a 1-1 tie at Viets Field.
RAIDER REMARKS
- The Raiders are now 4-4-2 in their last ten games against CUW and have lost just once in their last five against the Falcons.
