Box Score MILWAUKEE – MSOE lacrosse opened up their home slate this evening against Carthage, welcoming the Firebirds to Viets Field on an unseasonably warm mid-March night. Unfortunately, the beauty of the weather did not match the ballgame. The Raiders scored four straight to start the contest, but Carthage answered right back and then some in the Red & White's six goal defeat.
RESULT
Carthage – 12
MSOE RAIDERS – 6
HOW IT HAPPENED
MSOE (0-4, 0-0 NACC) scored four goals in a row from four different Raiders to kick off tonight's action which put Carthage (4-0, 0-0 CCIW) in a hole that they would have to dig out of. Well, the Firebirds started their climb out with a goal just as time expired at the end of the first quarter. Carthage was the only team to find the scoreboard in the second and would rattle off six unanswered before the Red & White finally found the back of the net again with just under five minutes elapsed in the third frame. The Firebirds would score six more goals again before the Raiders closed out this evening's scoring, but it was too little too late. Sean Finneran added to his season save total and MSOE forced Carthage to turn over the ball 22 times in the 12-6 loss.
