HOW IT HAPPENED
The golden goal came early on in this one for MSOE (4-1, 4-1 NACC North). Kollin McGregor was able to take advantage of a scrum in the box and sent one home to put the Raiders up by one just 2:52 into the game. The Raiders offense went quiet for the rest of the half, but the Edgewood (0-4-1, 0-4-1 NACC North) attack never woke up. The Red & White limited the Eagles to just three shots all game and only two of those were on goal. The Raiders scoring resume in the second when Joey Schauer put in a Carson Albert rebound that went off the post to make it 2-0. Lucas D'Amato and Jack Turicek closed out the scoring for MSOE with goals just two minutes apart to seal the deal for the Red & White. Ben Greenberg got his first start of the year in goal and earned the first win of his Raiders career in the process, helping to blank Edgewood 4-0.
