Box Score LISLE, Ill. – MSOE lacrosse went into Saturday's contest against Benedictine winners of their first two NACC matchups. They could not make it three in a row, however. The Raiders struggles against Benedictine continued this evening and couldn't keep up with BU in falling to the Eagles by five.
RESULT
MSOE RAIDERS – 10
Benedictine – 15
HOW IT HAPPENED
MSOE (2-8, 2-1 NACC) was never out of contention in tonight's ballgame but allowed too many Benedictine (8-2, 3-0 NACC) runs to grab a hold of the lead. The two teams traded the first four goals of the game, but with the score knotted at 2-2 the Eagles went on a 5-0 run to create some separating distance between the two clubs. However, the Raiders would not go quietly. The Red & White rattled off five straight goals of their own, three of which coming from Liam Brown, to tie the contest up early in the third quarter. Unfortunately, Benedictine outscored MSOE 8-3 from that point on to secure the victory and deal the Raiders their first conference loss of 2021.
