HOW IT HAPPENED
No game is ever easy, but MSOE (5-8, 5-1 NACC) did not have much trouble in this one tonight. The Raiders had already scored enough goals to win before six minutes had even elapsed off the game clock in the first quarter. Five different Red & White players scored the first five tallies as MSOE put 11 up on the scoreboard in the initial frame. While the scoring slowed down, the Raiders still added 10 more goals to their total before the night was over. Seven Red & White student-athletes scored at least two, paced by Tanner Whipps who had five and Max Jenney who recorded four. Edgewood (0-8, 0-6 NACC) managed to score four but the rest of their 12 shots were brushed aside by the five Raider goalies that saw action tonight as the Raiders became the first team to lock down a NACC playoff spot with a 17 goal win.
