Box Score MILWAUKEE – MSOE men's soccer returned home for the first time since September 5th, and it looked like they were happy to be back. The Raiders netted three after a scoreless first half to blank the Rockford Regents on Saturday at Viets Field.
RESULT
Rockford – 0
MSOE RAIDERS – 3
HOW IT HAPPENED
- MSOE (5-3-1, 3-0-0 NACC) was a little slow to get started this afternoon. They didn't have a single shot on goal in the first half. Thankfully, Rockford (4-4-0, 2-1-0 NACC) was only able to get off three, none of which found the back of the net.
- Steven Arthur kickstarted the Raiders offense in the second period. His goal in the 51st minute led to another Red & White tally, this time by Connor Dees, just four minutes later.
- Arthur added to his total with less than 20 minutes left to play when he buried a Bennett Luttinen pass to put the Raiders up by three.
- The MSOE defense did its job, allowing just two Regent shots in the second half in their 3-0 shutout victory.
RAIDER REMARKS
- The Raiders are now a perfect 13-0 against Rockford in program history.
- Keeper Ron Marchionna is just six saves away from the 200th in his career.
