Box Score MILWAUKEE – MSOE men's soccer welcomed St. Scholastica to Viets Field on Sunday to wrap up their three games in five days start to the 2021 season. Having gone 1-0-1, the Raiders were looking to finish up with two wins to their name, but a hectic finish didn't go their way as they fell by one goal to the Saints.
RESULT
St. Scholastica – 4
MSOE RAIDERS – 3
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Lucas D'Amato continued his hot streak to start off the season by netting the first MSOE (1-1-1) goal just 2:45 into the ballgame.
- St. Scholastica (2-1-0) would get even about seven minutes later before Freddy Comparato and Steven Arthur scored within two minutes of each other to put the Red & White up by two tallies.
- Unfortunately, it was all CSS from that point on. The Saints went on to score one more in the first half before adding two more to the scoreboard in the second frame.
- Two St. Scholastica red cards allowed the Raiders to play two men up for the last five minutes but they were unable to capitalize in the one goal loss.
RAIDER REMARKS
- Each side finished the game with ten shots a piece while St. Scholastica held the 7-5 advantage in corner kicks.
- Both squads had the equal total of seven shots on goal throughout the contest.
