Box Score MILWAUKEE – MSOE men's lacrosse came into Saturday riding a three-game winning streak and looking to secure one more non-conference win before NACC play starts. Unfortunately, the Raiders got down early and a comeback attempt came up a little short in a six-goal loss to Elmhurst
RESULT
Elmhurst – 11
MSOE RAIDERS – 5
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Elmhurst (7-2) started off the afternoon by scoring the first three goals before MSOE (7-2) got on the board towards the end of the first half with a Tanner Whipps man-up strike. The Bluejays answered right back however and took a 4-1 lead into the intermission.
- While the Raiders didn't score in the third quarter, they did limit Elmhurst to just a single tally and went into the last 15-minutes of the game down by four.
- It was in that last period that the Red & White staged a comeback. Sam Thompson started things off by scoring two of the first three goals and with the Raiders down 7-3, John Kubicki and Whipps each added a man down score to pull within two. The Bluejays took over from there, however. EC would go on to score the games last four points and dealt MSOE an 11-5 defeat.
RAIDER REMARKS
- The Raiders are now 0-4 all time against the Bluejays.
- Sean Finneran set a program record for the most saves in a single game with 27 this afternoon.
