MILWAUKEE – MSOE men's lacrosse welcomed Marian University to Viets Field in search of their second NACC win of the young conference season. The Raiders had no problem defending their home turf and put up nearly two dozen goals on the Sabres in a 20-12 win.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• MSOE (6-2, 2-0 NACC) was in complete control this evening against Marian (3-6, 0-2 NACC) and took it to the Sabres right from the start. The Raiders scored 11 first half goals compared to just two for MU. Liam Brown and Tanner Whipps each recorded a hat trick before the second quarter came to a close and each ended the game with four. 
• The Marian offense showed up a little more in the last two quarters of play, but MSOE made sure to keep pace. Each team scored two in the third frame with Soren Savard and Peter Ruschenberg each registering one of their three goals on the game in the period.
• The Sabres put up a game high four tallies in the fourth but the Red & White still came back with seven of their own. Six MSOE players had multiple goals as the Raiders claimed their second NACC win this time by 12 points.

RAIDER REMARKS

• The Raiders are now 3-1 all time against Marian and have scored in double figures in each of those victories.
• Jerred Willhelm is now tied for second in program history with 216 career ground balls. He needs 36 more to break the Raiders record.
