MILWAUKEE – Throughout the month of July, Raider Athletics will look back on the Top 10 moments of the 2024-25 seasons. Coming in at #10 is the MSOE Women's Hockey program beginning their journey as the Red and White impressed in their first season on the ice.
The Red & White's inaugural season saw several highlights, as they started the season off with a bang, winning the program's first ever game on November 1
st at Marian in a 3-1 triumph.
Gray Mandia would record the first goal in program history, joined shortly thereafter by teammates
Hannah Baumann and
MaryFrancis Williams.
A week later the Raiders would win their first home game by a final score of 3-2 over Lawrence University on November 8
th, as a powerplay goal from
Sara Kopf broke a 2-2 tie in the third period to give the Raiders their first victory in the Kern Center.
The Raiders would nearly pull off a historic upset on December 14
th, holding the then #4 Adrian College Bulldogs scoreless for over 65 minutes of play, ultimately falling 1-0 in a shootout as the Raiders proved they were not to be underestimated in the NCHA.
The women's hockey team finished their first season with an overall record of 4-19-3 and going 3-13-2 in conference play, and also saw eight players recognized on the NCHA All-Academic team.
