Hurd & Dopirak Headline NACC Conference Awards for Men's Basketball

MILWAUKEE – The Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) announced the all-conference teams for the 2025-26 men's basketball season, with three Raiders earning honors, along with Mason Dopirak being named Player of the Year and Kevin Hurd at the helm of Coaching Staff of the Year.

Hurd, who is in his fourth season leading the Raiders, had his best season during his tenure and their best since the 2018-19 season. The Raiders, who are currently on a ten-game winning streak, currently sit with 19-7 record and 16-2 in conference play. The Raiders currently lead the conference in field goal percentage (50.3%), three-point percentage (39.7%), and free-throw percentage (80.6%), which also leads the country. The Raiders are also second in the conference in points per game (84.9).

Dopirak, a senior from Manitowoc, is now a first-team all-conference honorary and is the fourth player in MSOE history to be named Player of the Year. Dopirak currently leads the conference and is fourth nationally in points per game (25.9) and leads the conference in free-throw percentage (90.4%) as well. 22 of 25 games Dopirak has appeared in he has scored 20+ points, along with five with 30+ and just hit a new career high 46 points on Tuesday in the NACC Quarterfinal victory over Lakeland. Dopirak is also just 56 points from breaking the NACC record in career points.

Jonathan Burroughs, a senior from Missouri City, Texas, has turned into star this season earning first-team honors, as he leads the team in three-point percentage (51.1%) and blocks (25), and is second on the team in points per game (15.5). Burroughs has scored double-digit points in 18 games, with four of the games having 20+ and posted a career-high 29 against Concordia Wisconsin on January 31st.

Chase Cummings, a senior from East Troy, has a staple role player for this entire career, earning honorable mention honors this season. Cummings is third on the team in points per game (11.2), third on the team in rebounds per game (5.2), and third on the team in steals (22). Cummings scored double-digit points in 17 of 25 games, along with a double-digit performance against Occidental at the D3Hoops Classic on December 30th.

The Raiders went into last week as the third seed in the NACC and defeated both St. Norbert College and Aurora University to grab a share of the regular season title and snag the No. 1 seed in the NACC tournament this week. The Raiders defeated Lakeland University on Tuesday to advance to tonight's NACC Semifinal, tipping off at 7:00 p.m.
