Box Score MILWAUKEE – The MSOE men's soccer team scored four times in the first nine minutes and tallied eight first-half goals in coasting past Lakeland 10-3 Wednesday evening at Viets Field.
The Raiders (11-4, 6-2 NACC) got two goals and four assists each from senior Logan Andryk and sophomore Braden Andryk in rolling past the Muskies (2-14, 1-7 NACC).
Logan Andryk's two goals broke a tie with Dominican's Matt Kochanowski for the NACC record for career goals. He entered the match tied with 51 each.
MSOE also received two goals each from sophomore Gregory Borsari and senior Jerry Rubio in the opening half.
It was Borsari who opened the scoring in just the fourth minute. Logan Andryk then netted his first goal just 33 seconds later, also in the fourth minute. Borsari struck again in the sixth minute and Braden Andryk scored his first goal of the match in the ninth minute.
The score was 6-0 in favor of the home side before Franco Herrera pulled a goal back for Lakeland in the 28th minute.
Rubio then nabbed back-to-back scores in the 34th and 38th minutes to send the Raiders into halftime leading 8-1.
The Muskies would score twice in the early in the second half to pull within 8-3, but by then the game was out of reach.
MSOE added two more goals in the final 10 from junior Andrew Swiecichowski in the 80th minute and freshman Jake Boebel in the 85th.
The Red & White held a 23-14 shot advantage for the match, putting 17 shots on goal. It also forged a nine corner kicks in the match.
Junior Sean Stelter got the start in goal and made three saves in the first half to earn the win. Junior Jeff Clements stopped one shot in the second half.
The Raiders return to action Saturday at Wisconsin Lutheran.
