Box Score SHEBOYGAN, Wisconsin – Juniors Mikey Perez and Braden Andryk scored goals and the MSOE men's soccer team held a 30-11 shot advantage, but it was not enough as it suffered a 3-2 loss at the hands of Lakeland Wednesday afternoon at Muskie Soccer Field.
The Raiders (10-7, 5-3 NACC) peppered the Muskies' (5-11, 3-5 NACC) goal with 15 shots on goal, but were unable to overcome a late score in the loss.
The score was tied at 2-2 coming out of halftime and stayed that way until the 80th minute. Charles Apostolik jumped on a rebound and finished into the net for what held as the game-winner.
Perez opened the scoring in just the 12th minute with her fourth goal in eight days off an assist from junior Braden Andryk.
Unfortunately, the lead was short-lived as Lakeland got on the board just 25 seconds later. The home side then took the lead in the 29th minute off a corner kick.
Andryk pulled the Raiders even in the 40th minute, finishing up a rebound after junior Gregory Borsari's initial shot.
In addition to its shots on goal, MSOE also had the misfortune of hitting the cross bar once in each half.
Senior Jeff Clements made three saves in goal, while Thomis Mannebach made 13 saves for the home side.
The Raiders will look to shake off the loss when they return to the field Saturday, hosting Wisconsin Lutheran.
