HOW IT HAPPENED
MSOE (3-1, 3-1 NACC North) kept playing strong defense on Sunday night against Wisconsin Lutheran (2-2, 2-2 NACC North), securing their second shutout in as many games. The golden goal came early on in this one when Carson Albert set up Konrad Knap for this second tally of the campaign just five minutes into the contest to give the Raiders a 1-0 lead. The Red & White would score early once again but this time in the second period. Joey Schauer added goal number five to his resume after Lu Shi Peng Xiong fed him a great pass to give MSOE the two-point advantage. The Raiders only allowed two shots all evening, both of which were stopped by keeper Ron Marchionna. MSOE now has held their opponents to just 0.75 goals per game over the course of four contests as the Raiders secure win number three with a 2-0 victory.
